Happy 2026 from the Idaho Writers Guild

Hi, writers!

It’s been quiet in the Idaho Writers Guild corner over the past year. Each member of the brand-new IWG Board has been hard at work behind the scenes, coordinating efforts to revitalize the organization. It is our hope these efforts breathe new life into the Guild in the months and years to come. We share a unified vision in providing opportunities for Idaho writers to learn, grow, and connect more than ever before.

As the Idaho Writers Guild moves into a new year with you, we’d like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all who have been a part of IWG in the past. Each new chapter is made possible because great writers, leaders, and volunteers came before, and we recognize the efforts that have shaped the organization. It is a collective project and we’re thankful for every contribution—whether it has been given in the form of time, resources, or expertise.

After a year spent working in the background to build a new approach for the Guild, the Board members would like to formally welcome you to our new website and invite you to join the Guild as a member once more. Take a look around!

We would also like you to know that the annual IWG membership fee has been reduced from $50 to $30 USD for the calendar year 2026 to accommodate the absence of our annual writing conference event as we continue building strong new foundations. We hope to bring the conference back at a later date. In the meantime, current members continue to enjoy benefits such as discounts to our local events, online critique group access, our brand-new IWG Discord server, and more.
